Life of a salaryman is never easy.
You are constantly on the run. From overtime work to business trips to seminars and trainings. You can only wish everything would stop for a while. And that you won't be in a business suit.
When I was working back in the Philippines, any business wear would do. But being in Japan, I learned how to dress properly as a salaryman. Everyday you have to be in business suit (coat and tie) regardless of the season.
I am fine with it except for the necktie. I have a big issue with neckties. I can't properly tie it despite asking for help from friends and checking youtube videos. It's either I will be late, or I'll go to work tie-less.
To solve this problem, I started buying and using ready-to-wear ties and I found it very convenient. I can fix my tie for 1 second.
That was my trick. A successful one at that. I introduced this discovery to my officemates and some of them followed me as they found it very convenient too. I think I have over 40 ready-to-wear neckties right now. No plans to buy new ones though.

Very entertaining. Yeah! Business suits are the very devil. I once tried wearing a sports jacket and flannels, which coincided with a visit by a 'head office type' to the office. It was gently pointed out to me that dressing like that was no way to advance within the company; what he didn't know was that I had already tendered my resignation.

Deleteha, that's a pretty funny story. lol
Curiously I was quite comfortable in a tie and had no trouble in tying one. However all that changed when I came to Australia in the late 1960's and within a year I was heading off into the country where ties were not a requirement, more of an impediment. I had to dress down! Australians understand that you must dress for the climate although in the city ties still abound in the business sector. They fool no one!

DeleteMen have to wear ties at my school in all seasons. However, they don't have to wear suit jackets in the summer. I live in Australia.
