My brother Dorb like animals since we were young. He has cats, dogs, fishes as pets and now he is raising hogs, poultry and freshwater fishes. Lately, he is addicted to small metallic fishes known as guppies. At first, I could not understand his obsession but that changes after he asked me to take photo of his fishes during my vacation since he is not into photography.
I thought I will get bored photographing fishes, instead I found myself requesting him to show me the best varieties of the guppies. I spent half of the day in marvel while having a photo session with these tiny underwater creatures. Now I know why lots of enthusiasts are collecting these kinds of fishes and display them on aquariums. The colors, the fins, the scales and every detail on the fishes are such a revelation. No wonder my brother breeds them and plans to start a fish-related business.

And just recently, he got three (3) 1st runner-up trophies at a recently concluded San Carlos City Koi Show 2014. It is a local event showcasing the best kois (carps) in the region. It was his first time to join a contest like this and he won thrice. Beginner's luck, I joked. A good way in making his presence felt in a crowded freshwater industry.
I hope he will be successful should he finally decide to make this as a business. I know that he is giving everything and he has the needed hands necessary in taking care as well as raising of animals. In that way, our mother will stop complaining about the mini-ponds and improvised aquariums all over our house. Good Luck, Dorb!
