Moshy

Moshy - their term of endearment. I am not 100% sure about it but I heard both of them call each other Moshy. I don't know the history about behind the term but I found it rather unique and sweet.

moshy

I first met Caloy in Thailand, 2007 and he became my instant brother. Both of us were OFWs (worked on different companies though) and were into photography. I am the funny one and he was the grumpy one. I also got the chance to meet his girlfriend, Che, who was in Italy at that time via webcam. Such a sweet girl and instantly became a good friend of mine too.

A year after, he went to Norway and I went back to Japan while Che still stayed in Italy. Our communication was always there, via YM, Skype, text even snail mail. The three of us kept in touch with each other.

Fast forward to 2010. Che returned to the Philippines, I was on a Christmas vacation and so was Caloy. Both of them decided to have a very short vacation to Bacolod City (January 2011). It was the first time I met Che in person and she really exudes an angelic aura. Lucky Caloy! Poor Che! Just kidding.

Their 3-day vacation was interrupted by series of unfavorable events. Our first itinerary was at a local hospital. Caloy was having a battle with his stomach and was totally weak. Second day, the rain didn't stop so we decided to stay only at one of the department stores. Can't believe we spent 6 hours inside the mall. Third day, their last day. Caloy was feeling great and the weather was perfect. It was my chance to show them a part of the city where I live. Off we go to The Ruins.

We had a photo shoot. A fun one. It wasn't really a pre-nup as I really didn't know about their plans. Though I remember Caloy once said that they will get married on 2011. Their faces were screaming LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. And my camera kept on shouting CLICK, CLICK, CLICK!

They have been together for the past 9 (?) years, oh shoot I hope I got it right. Both of them were church choir members then, and that's where their love story unfolds. Distance was never a hindrance to this couple. I'll let them share the rest of their story.

Funny though that few days after that shoot (I was in Japan already), Che informed me that she and Caloy finally got married. A not-so-secret one and was attended only by families of both parties. If only I knew that our shoot was indeed their pre-nup, I could have done better. Damn, I could have pressured myself and could have been my gift to them.

Congrats Bespren and Che! Remember that I am always here for the both you. Thank you for the gift of friendship too. Best wishes!

And as a friend, all I can say is, Moshy, go forth and multiply. ASAP!
